Production Updates
At Merlin Models, we want to be very transparent about our production process and timelines. This page exists to keep you up to date on the status of each of our ongoing products. It will be updated frequently so that you know where production is at for your purchase. Feel free to bookmark and check in regularly.
March 14th, 2024
ATAT 2024 - Taking orders for 2024 run of production (fully pay only). 2023 painted models going through painting production. Currently in the process of hiring a professional painter to assist.

Runner - Kit Delivery finished, replacement parts and coins have been received. In the process of painting.
​
X-Wing - Kit Delivery Finished, painted versions being processed.
​
ROTJ ATST - Currently going through final production (full pay orders still open).
​
ESB ATST - Production Finished, preparing to ship in Q2 2024 (full pay orders still open).
​
U-Wing - Waiting for production pipeline to clear, taking pre-orders (both payment plan and full pay).

Slave 1 - Completing design updates and final tweaks (both payment plan and full pay available).
​
Mini ESB ATST - Initial in-house prototype complete, currently taking pre-orders (both payment plan and full pay).

Shuttle - Collecting payment for shipping, on track to ship in April 2024.

Forest Fight - Currently on pre-sale (both payment plan and full pay).

Round 2 ATAT kits. Delivered. In the process of painting client kits ( see Ethan's update in the walker channel).

Runner. Molding and casting complete, preparing for shipment. Shuttle. Currently in production.

X-wing. Currently In production. ESB ATST. Metal parts are complete. Kit parts are in line for production.

Rotj ATST. Metal parts are currently in production. Kit parts are in line for production.

U-wing. Files sent off to have master model created.
​
Slave 1. Modeling work complete and currently being engineered to be sent off.
​
Snowspeeders. Funding still open, will begin work on modeling as soon as the Slave 1 is sent off.

Round 2 ATAT kits. In the process of shipping. Should be getting tracking numbers soon for Air shipments. Ocean freight will take a month for tracking.
Runner. Currently In production
Shuttle. The artist proof is complete. waiting on it to arrive for final sign-off.
Xwing. Currently In production.
ESB ATST. Metal parts are currently in production. Kit parts are in line for production.
Rotj ATST. Metal parts are currently in production. Kit parts are in line for production.
Uwing. Funding is still open. Waiting for enough orders to begin creating master.

February 8th, 2023
Round 2 ATAT kits. The factory is currently finishing the packing and the kits will be ready to ship by the 25th. So now is the time to go into your account on the website and update your mailing address if you need to! We will send emails as soon as I have our new shipping company secured to let you know the shipping cost and a link to get that taken care of.
Runner. The last few pieces that we didn’t like on the runner are being re-molded and cast. We should get the last pieces shipped by the 22nd.
Shuttle. The shuttle sample will be shipped by the end of the month. So as soon as we get it we will make a video and then its full steam into production.
Xwing. Currently In production.

All Round 2 ATAT kits are Still in the cleaning stage.
Painted ATAT round 1 is shipped! Should be receiving them soon if you haven’t already
Runner. Still waiting on the newly adjusted castings to arrive, will post a video as soon as they get here.
Shuttle. The sample is currently in production and we expect it to be shipped to us after the Chinese new year
Xwing. The first castings have arrived and they look amazing! expect a video on it later this week.

December 21st, 2022
All atat kits are in the cleaning stage. They may be ready before the Chinese new year on jan15 but we have to set up shipping for all of them so I assume we will ship early Feb
Painted ATAT round 1 are being packed. I had to order an extra pallet of foam and that took 3 weeks to get here . Trying to work on it and do holiday time. Should be packed next week
Runner. Last problem parts are being adjusted. Will ha e a video of all perfect parts soon and the new samples will be shipped shortly.
Shuttle. Large parts are being adjusted to keep them from wanting to warp. We have a plan, all the rest of the parts are done for sample.
Xwing. Sample castings complete on 23rd and shipping to us
ESB ATST. Metal parts starting production.

ATAT: round 1 castings almost done. Round 2 castings started November. Hardware and coins are being manufactured.
Painted ATAT: cutting foam and packing
Runner: samples delivered. Small changes needed for fitment of a few parts. New samples expected last week of November.
